The Allure of the Seas Boardwalk Carousel occupies the forward end of the seaside pier-inspired Boardwalk. Although made using traditional methods, weight was a problem and so various methods were used to make it lighter even so it still weighs 5000 kilograms. At the entrance to the Boardwalk there is a display of carousel horses in various stages of completion, showing all how the carousel animals emerge from a block of wood.
